Joe Friel has been coaching endurance athletes for over 40 years. He has worked with a wide range of athletes as an elite-certified USA Triathlon and USA Cycling coach and he holds a masters degree in exercise science. Joe is the author of 17 popular training books, including international best-sellers The Cyclist’s Training Bible, The Triathlete’s Training Bible, and Fast After 50.
Jim Rutberg is the communications manager for Haute Route and the media director for Carmichael Training Systems. He has co-authored many books, including The Time-Crunched Cyclist and The Time-Crunched Triathlete, and has written innumerable web and magazine articles for top sports media. Jim is a former elite cyclist.
